Another Day in Pompeii - The Temple of Fortuna Augusta, in Pompeii, was built in honor of Rome's first Emporer Augustus. Worshipers believed the temple would bring them good luck and happiness to every Pompeian citizen. Surrounding the temple are shops and homes typical for the period.
