About Ancientvine

Decimus - Ancientvine

Ave traveler! I am the sole creator/owner of the AncientVine and all the artwork on the site. I live and work in New England with my family. I work in the IT world by day and in my free time I help to bring antiquity to life. I've been working with 3D graphics as a hobby since 1999. A few years later, my interest in ancient history was rekindled. As a result, I now devote a good portion of my free time studying about all aspects of the Roman Empire, Ancient Greece and Egypt. Some of the tools I use include Cinema 4D, Vue Infinte, Poser and Photoshop. With each and every image I strive to provide historically accurate images based on the latest findings although some of my work may include some artistic liberties. The images here on the Ancientvine took anywhere from a few days to several months to complete. The Forum of Pompeii took over 8 months to realize. The Alexandria project took several years. I prefer to create my own models and textures when I can. Time permitting...

The images created here are a result of my studies and imagination. I hope you enjoy this site as much as I enjoyed creating it.

Thanks to all you have written me, You are all an inspiration!

If you find any of my work to your interest please contact me. From time to time I provide my services and images for commission. If you have any questions concerning my rates or work please use the form here to contact me.
